Hold the Line with Astra Militarum Cadian Shock Troops
The galaxy may be torn by war, but the Astra Militarum stands unbroken. Born on a world fortified against the terrors of the Eye of Terror, the Astra Militarum Cadian Shock Troops are widely regarded as the ultimate template for Imperial infantry. They are trained to hold position against monstrous alien swarms and heretic war machines until the last round is spent.
Whether you are starting a fresh Imperial Guard force or reinforcing an existing armored column with vital Battleline support, this 10-soldier box offers the tactical versatility, grit, and firepower needed to claim victory in Warhammer 40,000.
Key Tactical Advantages and Kit Features
1. Modular Firepower for Every Battlefield Threat
No two engagements demand the same loadout. This kit provides an extensive armory to customize your squad’s role:
- Equip standard troopers with rugged, dependable lasguns for concentrated mass volley fire.
- Upgrade two troopers with deadly special weapons including the armor-melting meltagun, incendiary flamer, area-denial grenade launcher, or high-risk, high-reward plasma gun.
- Outfit your squad Sergeant with an array of close-quarters options: a drum-fed autogun, bolt pistol, laspistol, or plasma pistol, paired with a chainsword or power weapon.
2. Dynamic Sculpting and Expressive Customization
Banish repetitive clone-squad looks from your army. Featuring the updated, proportionally realistic infantry sculpts, the sprue includes over 20 interchangeable heads (featuring both male and female soldiers with varying helmet and field gear configurations), multiple arm positions, pouches, canteens, and bayonets. Every squad you build feels like a distinct veteran combat team.
3. Seamless Battlefield Command Integration
Maximize your army’s potential using the included vox-caster component. Equipping a radioman ensures your commanding officers can issue crucial Regimental Orders—such as “Take Aim!” or “First Rank Fire, Second Rank Fire!”—across greater distances, turning humble infantrymen into a lethal firing line.

Can I build special weapons and a vox-caster in the same box?
Yes. The kit provides dedicated components to assemble up to two special weapons specialists as well as an optional vox-caster communications trooper alongside your Sergeant and standard riflemen.
Are the miniatures pre-painted or pre-assembled?
No. These models come unassembled and unpainted on plastic sprues. We recommend Citadel Plastic Glue for assembly and Citadel Colour acrylic paints to achieve your desired regiment color scheme.
