Description
Unleash Holy Wrath with the Primaris Crusader Squad
Standard Space Marine battleline units often lack the dedicated, grinding melee volume required to wrest mid-table objectives away from enemy deathstars. The Primaris Crusader Squad provides the exact aggressive solution Black Templars commanders need. By pairing stalwart Initiates with aspiring Neophytes under the veteran guidance of a Sword Brother, this unit forms a massive, multi-wound bulwark that surges across no-man’s-land and locks down opponents in relentless close combat.
From the chained weapons around their wrists to the purity seals pinned to their tabards, every model in this kit embodies the zealous martial discipline of the Black Templars.
Core Battlefield Roles & Tactical Advantages
1. High-Volume Shock Assault & Melee Superiority
Armed with signature Astartes chainswords tethered directly to their armor by heavy iron chains, a full Crusader Squad outputs an overwhelming volume of close-quarters attacks. Backed by Templar vows and character buffs, they easily cut through screen units and trade up against heavier armored threats.
2. Layered Wound Pools for Maximum Objective Control
The combination of Primaris Initiates and scouting Neophytes creates an efficient wound hierarchy. Neophytes serve as screening models to absorb initial enemy firepower, preserving your heavy-hitting Initiates and the squad’s specialist weapons for the final charge into scoring zones.
3. Expansive Armory & Customization Options
This multi-part plastic kit delivers exceptional build versatility to match your exact tactical doctrine:
- Sword Brother Leader: Equip with a power sword or power fist paired with a heavy bolt pistol or searing pyre pistol.
- Heavy Support Upgrades: Arm selected Initiates with hard-hitting power fists or a room-clearing pyreblaster.
- Neophyte Loadouts: Choose between close-assault chainswords, Neophyte shotguns, or carbines to suit your playstyle.
- Crusade Aesthetic: A rich selection of bare and helmeted heads, purity seals, relics, and chained weapon hands.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can this squad be equipped entirely for ranged combat?
Yes. The kit includes enough auto bolt rifles and heavy bolt pistols to outfit your Initiates as a relentless ranged advance squad, while Neophytes can be equipped with bolt carbines or shotguns.
Are the weapon chains molded directly onto the hands?
Yes. In true Black Templars tradition, the weapons feature modeled chain bindings wrapping around the wrists and forearms, ensuring instant visual authenticity without requiring fine hobby chains or green stuff conversion work.
What base sizes do the different models use?
The kit supplies correct tournament-legal bases for all 10 models: one 40mm base for the Sword Brother, five 32mm bases for the Initiates, and four 28.5mm bases for the scout-armored Neophytes.
