Humble Beginnings in a Storage Room
It all started in October 2018, in the storage room of Molotow HK, a graffiti shop in Hong Kong. We were a small group of friends, all Warhammer fans, playing 40K Kill Team, small Warhammer 40K games, and Warhammer Underworlds. Sessions were fun and intimate, driven by shared passion. As our group grew, the space felt cramped, sparking dreams of expansion. This era built the foundation for a vibrant Warhammer community in Hong Kong, showing how simple enthusiasm could grow into something larger.

Founding Golden Dragon Hobby and Rapid Growth
By May 2019, the storage room was too small, so Golden Dragon Hobby was founded with a dedicated space in Kwun Tong, separate from Molotow HK. More room meant more events: Blood Bowl tournaments, 2000-point Warhammer 40K battles, and the Golden Dragon painting competition. We attracted more people, hosting games and workshops that built a strong community. This phase turned us from a hidden spot into a lively hub, where hobbyists connected over miniatures and competitions in a welcoming vibe.

Rebranding to The Circle and a Bright Future
In December 2023, Golden Dragon Hobby became The Circle, moving to a bigger Kwun Tong location as Hong Kong’s first 24/7 Warhammer club. We’ve run tournaments, painting events, and more with our passionate community. The future holds enhanced events, new formats, an online store, and apps to boost the experience. Get ready for growth that will draw even more fans into our expanding world of Warhammer excitement! Many adventures ahead.
